Understanding attack pre-cursors provide early warning and can help prevent attacks. To prevent attacks, we must recognize risk factors and recognize behavioral indicators.

Terrorist attacks and mass shooting are not random or unpredictable. The vast majority of attackers have provided distinct Indicators & Warning (I&W) that were ignored or misunderstood. In order to prevent attacks, it is imperative that we know what to look for and how to report it in a timely manner.

This can be done successfully by adhering to Best Practices outlined in this lesson.
