Indicators and Warnings

Lead Instructor:  Alon Stivi
Access:  All   Status:  Active   Lesson:  Part of Course

Understanding attack pre-cursors provide early warning and can help prevent attacks. To prevent attacks, we must recognize risk factors and violence tendencies and recognize behavioral indicators.

Acts of violence and Active Shooter attacks are not random or unpredictable. The vast majority of Active Shooter and targeted attacks have provided distinct Indicators & Warning (I&W) that were ignored or misunderstood. In order to prevent attacks it is imperative that we collect, correlate and communicate Essential Elements of Information (EEI) from our environment and circumstances. This can be done successfully by adhering to Best Practices addressed in this lesson.
